Flying Over The City Of Lights With Sundance

I had always wanted to take an extensive tour of the much-acclaimed city of lights(Las Vegas) for a while. When I finally got the spare time to fulfill my desire, you could only imagine the kind of joy that was in my heart. I knew that if I wanted to get the best experience on my tour, I had to go for the aerial view. Even though this would be more expensive than any other option which is on the tour market, I knew I would be getting a good value for my money. Therefore, my first point of call was what tour company to go for and of the bunch, the services offered at Sundance Helicopters pulled me in. I opted for the Twilight City Tour which normally kicks off in the evening.

Right from the first action of the tour company, I had been buttered up and made to feel very important. A limousine was dedicated to pick me up from my place of residence to the pre-flight lounge in preparation for my tour. After some minutes of last-minute flight prepping, I got into the helicopter, a Eurocopter EC 130. From there, the story just kept getting better and better. Not only was there some complementary music in the helicopter to make the experience magical, the in-flight narration made sure I missed nothing at all.

It takes not so much effort to create a moment, but it does take an awful lot of effort to get that moment to stick. Flying over the city at night, I could understand why Las Vegas has been dubbed the ‘City of Lights.’ The tour company took me for a ride over famous landmarks such as the Stratosphere towers, Caesar’s Palace and other magnificent buildings. I was even treated to a sight of the Bellagio’s fountains and could have sworn that the New York skyline was visible from where I was. Just kidding.

While I was already thinking that had seen it all, my tour pilot took me past other notable centers such as the marvelous Hoover Dam. The blue waters of Lake Mead are surprisingly even more beautiful to watch in the evening, what with the shimmering effect produced by the fallback of light on the man-made wonder. I even got to see the Mojave Desert and went the span of the Colorado River among other magnificent locations. Truth be told, I was already swamped by the experience.

By the time the helicopter set me down, I had already gotten more than what I paid for. The fairy tale didn’t end just yet as there was provision for a limousine to drop me off at the point of pickup. I was even given the option of picking a location besides the pickup area, if that is where I would love to go instead. How sweet?

With the kind of exceptional, top-notch service that I got, I think I would be going back for one of the company’s other services in the nearest future. Browsing through their catalog, it can be seen that Sundance Helicopters also offer a tour of the Grand Canyon. That really sounds like something I want to see. This is the next thing on my to-do list with friends.
