5 Proven Digital Nomads Strategies For Working & Traveling

Have you always dreamt of working on the move? Being a freelancer seems challenging for many people who have a passion for traveling. Being scared of letting down your boss and colleagues, missing deadlines, etc., stop millions of people from finally leaving the office and embracing freedom. If you can not stop thinking about the idea of working and traveling, then these advice are for you.

Make sure you have access to the Internet all the time (or most of the time)

One thing that can make you frustrated, slow down your work and miss important updates is the absence or poor quality Internet. Every freelancer knows that speedy Wi-Fi is a must. Whether you stay in Airbnb, in a hotel, rented accomodation, or prefer to work from cafes, the Internet is your link to effective work without interruptions.

Stick to your routine

Many freelance newbies start panicking once they leave the office and decide to work while traveling. They end up sitting in hotel rooms and checking their emails to not miss a thing. Create a healthy environment and stick to your routine: have breakfast, go for a run/do yoga, find a comfy place to work, and end up your day playing a NZ online casino, reading a book, or watching a film. Being a freelancer gives you the opportunity to work in the environment you choose.

Get the right gear

Working while traveling gives you the beauty of traveling over and working in different locations (this is what so many bored office workers dream about). Once you become a freelancer, you will need some right gear:

  • a pocket mifi

  • external battery

  • plug adapters

If you have a slow laptop that surely needs to be replaced soon, do it before you go on an island or hiking. It is not always easy to order/buy a device you need while on the move.

A comfortable working place is a must

If you ask experienced freelancers how important it is to have a comfortable working place, they will rate it 10 out of 10. It is okay to work from the sofa or lie on a bed sometimes, but if you have a big workload, you must find a comfortable chair and table. Suffering from back and neck aches will annoy you and slow down your work process.

Mind time zone differences

You will have to get used to the new time zone, and you will have to make it convenient. Ask your manager to meet halfway, so you do not have to wake up at 3 am or have a video call at 11 pm. There is a little secret to managing time zones, and it is proper communication with your manager and colleagues. By doing so, you will avoid conflicts and misunderstandings.

With these 5 tips, you should be safe and sound to travel to your dream havens while making money.
