Sunday Photo Story : Naga Sadhu of Pasupathinath Temple in Nepal

Naga Sadhu is a ascetic who belong to the Shiva sect, representatives of Lord Shiva. Naga Sadhu‘s are naked, their body covered with ashes, have long hair and their faces and chest colored with powder made form turmeric or saffron. The the aim of Naga Sadhu is to attain moksha(liberation from re-birth) and are often seen eating in human skulls. They lead a very rugged lifestyle and devote their life to prayer and meditation. They are often seen smoking chillum.
